MODERNET has been established to develop better occupational disease surveillance methods, including methods to better detect new occupational diseases, improve surveillance data quality, monitor success in reducing the impact of such diseases, better inform OH policy and practice and increase consistency in surveillance approaches between countries. This minisymposium will provide an update on the MODERNET research program and promote discussion on occupational disease surveillance, novel techniques to better detect new occupational diseases, the use of such data to inform occupational health policy and practice and emerging occupational risks in new industries.
